Free Program

What to Expect/Limitations:

Free spaying and neutering is available to Brazos County residents who qualify, and Low Cost services are available to all others. Unfortunately, due to space limitations, there are often more clients and animals each time than we are able to serve. The van has cages of various sizes including a limited number for large dogs. While we strive to take animals in order, cage sizes sometimes preclude strict adherence to this policy. Our goal is to serve the maximum number of animals possible on a given day.

Rabies Vaccination Requirement:

State law requires that all dogs and cats over 12 weeks old must have a rabies vaccination and annually or every 3 years (depending on vaccine) after that.  A valid Rabies Vaccination Certificate is required or a rabies vaccination will be administered to your pet at your expense.

Deposit:

A deposit is required when making the reservation for the trip to the clinic.  The deposit will equal half of the expected total costs and will be applied to the total bill.  The remainder of the costs must be paid by the morning of the pickup for transport.  All transactions are CASH ONLY.

PLEASE NOTE: Only the spay or neuter service is offered free for animals in income qualified households.
